Having proper evidence to support your clinical sales team is vital. Without it you’re asking your customers to take your word for it, to evaluate the available data themselves, or simply to make a value judgement based on gut feeling and experience.
It would be most straightforward to simply wait and not try to sell until peer-reviewed evidence is available, but there is always enormous pressure to get started right now.
